Hit Spanish teen drama Elite returns for its seventh season, with fans caught up in another mystery about the students at Las Encinas. Season 7, sees the return of former student Omar, who returns to Las Encinas as part of an internship, to confront his demons and his guilt over Samuel's death. With fans having watched all eight episodes, the question of course is whether Elite will return for another season.
Will there be Elite season 8?
In July 2023, it was confirmed that Elite would return for an eighth outing before the launch of the seventh season.
As with previous seasons, all new episodes are expected to premiere at the same time.
Is Elite Season 8 the last season?
It was confirmed in October 2023, just days before the season 7 premiere, that the show would end with its upcoming eighth season.
Show creator Carlos Montero said in a press conference: "We are filming the eighth season, which will be the last season of Elite. We ended with a bang. Jaime (Vaca, co-showrunner) for season 7), Netflix and I think it's time to end it."
When will Elite season 8 be released?
The new season is currently in production and was announced for July 2023. Season 6 premieres in November 2022, before season 7 arrives in October 2023, almost a year later. This suggests we could see season 8 around the same time next year.
